mostly when i said i want mazda to come out with a hybrid is in part to remain as competitive as they have been the past 5 years or so. the hybrid tribute is a joke imo. Even if mazda released a concept 3 with a hydrogen 2.3 disi the hype alone will sell stocks. people that buy mazdas are still mostly drivers of cars not buying a car for point a to b. ppl dont buy mazda cause of the reliability rep, or the gas mileage. the buy cause they are fun to drive, I think if mazda came out with a hybrid even an avg one, it would shine some new light on them as a company and maybe open some more options for the future.

I'm sure that Jeremy Clarkson had absolutely no proof when he made that statement that a Prius pollutes more than a Land Rover Defender. However, if you think about it: How much pollution is caused by the ship going across the ocean from Canada to Japan with the Nickel, and then how much is created by the ship going from Japan to the UK with the Prius aboard. Those are 2 very long (and polluting) ocean journeys the Land Rover and its components didn't have to make. I guess I wouldn't be surprised if the net total polution is greater for a Prius than a Defender at least up to a certain mileage point.

Ha! My dad owns a tricked out Defender and it gets about 12 mpg, requiring premium fuel. Thing looks bad ass sitting in the driveway. (rockon)

Just give me the 2009 Mazda6 option list and I'll be a happy camper (along with the reported lighter curb weight and better fuel economy).

Based on this illustration my suggestion is to keep the styling close to this illustration. I like it. I just hope Mazda does not see the need to min-SUV the hatchback like they did with the current one by raising the hood.

I just want the trunk release on the keyfob, the cool mazda5 6 and MX-5 keys auto sunroof. If you hold the unlock button on the keyfob the windows and sunroof open, living in Florida I hate getting into a hot car. Auto ac on all 3's, but I do have to remember this is an "eco-box."

Ah... Gotcha. It's brand new for the 2009 Mazda 6's. I think the CX-9's might already have it on 2008 models but i'm not sure.
