The build date is located on the sticker which is in the driver door jamb. I have a 2013 with a build date of 9/2012 (month/yr). It is considered a late production 2013. If I recall correctly, the final month of production for the North American 2013's.

Many of the TSB's listed (rattles, software reflashes, etc) are for early/mid production 2013's. SO PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BUILD DATE AND WHETHER OR NOT IT APPLIES TO THE TSB. Mazda made many small revisions after July 2012 production CX-5's to take care of said TSB's.

Speaking of which. I will be contacting the moderators here hoping to start a thread soon with ALL TSB'S FOR SKYACTIV MAZDA'S INCLUDING 3, CX-5, and MZ6. There are literally almost 100 TSB's so far for all three cars combined, so hold tight. Rest assured, the TSB's are minor.

For now, please post your model year, purchase date, and BUILD DATE.

Post your mileage and problems too if applicable. If you are experiencing rattles, name specific panel/location.

2013 CX-5 built in 6/12 raddle or knocking coming from trunk area when going on bumpy roads. Dealer hasn't figured out yet, I also get a sluggish reaction when starting, like not enough gas is been injected. =(

Issues and fixes: Dash rattle largely fixed per TSB, rear hatch latch adjusted.

Open issues (barely worth mentioning): 7 or 8 times had rough cold starts lasting no more than 5 seconds, might request reflash at next oil change/service.

2014 GT w/ tech - build date 12/12 - purchased 2/16/13 - 1400 miles so far.

No issues with the operation of the car that I have noticed so far. Message App stopped displaying or reading messages (see thread in Audio) & I have the same issues with resuming through the USB interface that everyone else does.

2013 GS AWD (Canada) Build Date July 2012, Purchased Sept 2012 (and ordered June 2012 Lol!) Currently just slightly shy of 8000KM. Only service has been its first oil change at 4 months.

No major issues, except rattle started in dash coinciding with cooler winter temps. Rattle appears to come from left dash speaker, A-Pillar, or behind Instrument cluster (in that general area) and typically isn't as loud for warmer (about 10C) temps. I'm taking it in on Mar 21 to see if the dealer will do the TSB work.

How many TSB's are related to rattles, I'm only aware of the one about the A pillar creaking and nuts not torqued on the cowl panel. Are there others?

Having a forum with all the available TSB information and related problems would be a bonus! There really isn't a forum for specific problems like the rattles so you tend to see them spread across (and redundantly posted) in multiple areas. Plus my dealer doesn't ever seem to know about these WFT? I'm taking a printout tomorrow!

I would love if someone had access to the Canada hood shake and mirror shake TSB. I'll be taking my car into the dealer soon to fix these, and would like to bring that in as backup in case I get the "we cannot replicate" or "it's normal" response.

BTW, 2014 GT, purchased 2/17/12. 12/12 build date.

I have access to all TSB's. I have no counted the ones related to rattles, but there are a few (including mirror shake). I cannot and will not post them (yet) and I am still awaiting a reply from a mod to continue with the process. For now, keep posting, guys.

My wife's CX5 build date 12/12 purchased 2/13. about 1200 miles
Minor hood and driver side mirror vibration.
I fixed the hood issue by backing out the four rubber stopper 1/2 turn thus reducing the play of the hood at the latch when closed. So far I haven't notice vibration even at speed of 70-80 mph.

MY2014, purchase 2/13, build 12/12

No major issues

Minor issues:

Bluetooth would not stay synced to Samsung SII Skyrocket, switched to iPhone4 and now no issues

Slight vibration from front end at speed, no issues found 2 days after taking delivery. Lots of wheel balancing weights on driver front wheel. Problem still exists, will push for re-balancing at first visit next month.

Door automatically locks before getting into car when setting is on "auto unlock", whether set to unlock when shifting into "P" or "IGN OFF". Issue resolved by just setting to "auto lock when driving"

Minor driver side mirror shake at speed.

Don't know if this is a "real" issue but "passenger air bag off" light stays on all the time when no one is in passenger seat. Does not turn off as manual states it should.

Other than these, really love the vehicle inside and out and would buy it again.
