Who is the youngest MS3 owner on the forums.

Post your age and birth date.

I am 17, Born September 25th 1989

I would be paying for it myself except my parents will not allow me to have a job as they want me to concentrate on education blah blah blah so they bought the car since i have no way to pay for it. I think I have to buy it from them if I want it when i graduate though, or they will give it to my little brother.
im 16 but i hav an msp so i guess that excludes me

eesh 30k in cash? what did u get a used protege along with it or something?

btw, fellow young ppl, car loans are an excellent way to build credit at a young age. If youve got the cash, that makes a car loan even better, so you will never have to worry about being late on a payment.

but not when the % they trying to give me is like 7.5 f that, bout 3 months i took a 8k loan from the bank just to pay it off to establish some credit at a low rate 2.3% which is good for my age. I could pay it all off but they like to c consistant payments

i added stuff and warrenty ><

With all due respect, I've been driving for nearly 4 years. I understand that is nothing compared to allot of you but I've not even come close to an accident yet, The only time I ever "speed" in my MS3 is on empty roads that nobody travels on, their happen to be several near me.
I am very much an intellectual, I'm sure I'll get a ticket at some point in my life but I will not let myself cause an accident because of myself being stupid, If it's circumstances beyond my control then so be it but I will never be in an accident because I did something I shouldn't have done, When I'm in my car and I'm trying to go somewhere that is all I'm doing, I'm in my car and it's business time, It's like carrying a loaded gun except not quite as blatantly dangerous. Cars kill, Speed kills. I refuse to be a statistic.

Accidents are called accidents because thats what they are, you dont intend for them to happen they just do.

Your a very lucky lad, when i was 17 i was riding to work on my 50cc scooter in the ice and snow and one evening there was a newish but crappy car blocking the driveway. My parents had bought it for be on condition that i paid them back via weekly payments.

It was a Fiat Panda with a .99L engine with 45HP, 4 speed stick which got about 40mpg and that was only 13 years ago. Check it out, this is not the actual car but very close, mine had colour coded bumpers.

People can argue as much as they want, but numbers speak louder, much louder than any 18 yrs old opinion here. Check statistics just for fun! And quite a few kids have already killed themselves in MSP (one here locally last year, he was 18), now the MS3 is much more powerful. Maturity starts with shopping for a car!! If you buy a 260 HP (FWD torque-steer monster) is b/c you want to use that power someday!!

I'm not into morals, just stating the facts!

lol thats so funny...woulda been great in car video

That would probably be the most unsafe feeling in the world in that car. Especially since it no doubt had 4 wheel drum brakes.

To brag to whom? Other immature kids with their sub 30K ecno speed boxes? You think Johnny lawyer down the street in his 6 series BMW gives 2 s**** about your "bragging" rights of a Mazdaspeed 3? Nope. Its all young kids in go fast cars ie MS3, SRT4, WRX, EVOs etc etc. WHy do you thin kthe insurance is so high on those cars? You get a fast car because you plan on going fast...period. Why lie.

Not even, I really had no intentions of driving fast when I got it, I just liked it and wanted the fast to be there, It's kind of like sleeping with a gun under your bed in case someone breaks into your house, You don't plan on using it but you feel better knowing it's there.

exactly. My friends with fast cars drive a Z06, a 2001 Porsche twin turbo, a 2003 M5 and a 700hp mustang. I am a turd in a punchbowl when it comes to being fast around them. My car is the "hey give me a ride to pick up my charger pulley/pizza/movie" car. The big difference is, I can drive mine to work!

Fast is relative. When your friends are old enough, get good jobs, and start making money, the MS3 is NOT a car for bragging about. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the car. It's what it is.

ill tell you the same thing that the bmw dealer said to my mother when she bought the car and then said she wouldnt ever take it over 100: "give me back the keys....."
