You guys might think I am crazy...But......

I think the stock stereo system for our P5 is not that bad......I hear a lot of people saying bad stuff about it......
But everytime I pump up the music is sounds pretty clear........
Wonder what brand are the speakers ??

Personally, I din't like it at all. I had to almost turn it up full blast so the wind noise wouldn't drown it out when driving with the windows down.

I replaced the four speakers and they do not say what brand they are. One thing is for sure they are made of el chepo cardboard material and their magnet is almost the same diameter as a pepsi can.

Have you heard the sound system of an MP3....Huge Difference....Not to mention the sound quality and the bass factor...I think that's why I upgraded my stock system.

Here's a pic of the stock speaker

Made in Japan....:D

hehe, i've heard the mp3's soundsystem! but it's not good enuf for me. im doin a custom install as soon as i can get together the $$$

yes you are crazy...lol

well...it's not horrible...but it still needs to be replaced...what i mean is that it's not the worst stock stereo i've ever heard...but it doesn't fit my needs...

when i'm driving on the freeway i have to turn it up all the way just so i can barely hear it...but it's fine on the street...so eventually after i get some money...i'm gonna be putting in a system...

I think the stock MP3 setup is adequate for most people. I think it's fine only thing I'm looking to do is upgrade to an external amp and run a different sub.
I'm saving up for these sometime this year.

The Sub

I know the sub might be seen as silly by some people, but I think it's pretty cool.

yes i too am going to have to upgrade the sound and visual quality of my ride.... stock doesnt rock.... mod bumps the bod

Nice choice on the amp APEXi....keep it kenwood. I plan to add do some additions to my stock system in the MP3 but won't go too crazy as it sounds pretty damn good as far as a "stock" system goes.
