Yokohamma Parada Spec-2

ttt...any other comments or suggestions....before i finalize my decision and decide on a certain tire.

i like them in both dry and wet conditions too...they were better than my falkens...only problem i've had is i've blown on the sidewall twice hitting a bad pot hole...my bad!

Buy them they are some sticky tires in the dry and very forgiving if you screw up. Also very good in the wet. I've driven through HUGE puddles on 50% or less tread left and and they slice through the wata like a hot knife through butta

I loved the paradas, but they would only last literally 2-3 months with moderate-agressive driving. They had amazing traction, as winty said. Drawback was low life.

I ******* Love them!

I'm on my 5th set for my Mazda. They are Awesome in the Rain and better on the dry.

I dont know how agressive you drive, I'm not THAT agressive but I do enjoy the occasional fast as hell curves. You may burn out/take off quicker than I do. I used to commute 100 miles a day for 2 semesters 3 days a week. I've put 25k miles on mine and their just now needing replacing. Probably 5k over but they're good.

I donno, mine would go to 'slicks' quickly. 2-3 months may be a bit of an exaggeration, as it has been years, but it was definitely extremely fast. At the very least 4-5 months. I basicly drove fast as hell around curves everyday, untill I blew 1.5k on tires in no time. Now, I'm more responsible.

thanks for all the reviews...loving the positive feedback on them...these are looking very appealing to me...and all the positive feedback is making it an easier decision to make....

only drawback i see from all the feedback is tread life...but i guess depends on driving styles and habits...

keep the comments coming

Tread Life is the only negative... But you will see this on any Ultra High Performance tire so it's not a consideration..

The question is more "Do I want UHP or not..and am I willing to pay a little more often to have a car that holds 1.1 G on a skidpad"

I got yokohama parada spec 2's. They stick but they seem to be wearing out pretty quick and ive been babying them. I cant launch my car unless i get harder motor mounts. The tires are to sticky for stock mounts if you want to launch. Around turns i have no complaints. I will rebuy these tires unless i find something else better.

brian are you running 18" rims on ur P5??

if so...did you have to roll your fenders, or use anytype of spacer?
are you using spacers on all four rims or just rear tires?

I bought a set of these tires to replace the stock Dunlops... they didn't last very long (about a year w/ normal driving) and they are noisy as hell. Seriously, it sounds like you are going over a metal bridge at all times when driving. They were grippy, but not overly so in wet conditions.

I have the BFGs on now, and love them. I guess it all depends on when you want to buy new tires again. I don't relish buying new tires every year.
