Yet another blown engine!

even if you say you have s*** done to your car, they still have to PROVE it.. I could claim I have a 20g turbo boosting 22 psi.. and when I blow my engine swap everything back.. its a web board... not a legal document....

I think when Turbo Matty P's engine blew they checked these boards, hence his current sig. I don't know too much about the story, though.

Read my sig. :D I suggest everyone use this format. :D It is a legal standing disclaimer, that many, on most forums, use. :D

I am not sure how much boost you were running and I don't expect you to discuss it here for abvious reasons, but you must've been running over 10 psi of boost. I talked to FM and Bell enginering and they both said the FS engine and safely take 8 psi of boost using a T3 turbo with proper fuel management. 8 psi on a T3 is probably like 10 psi on our smaller T25 turbo and our cars already have a very rich mixture to avoid detonation.
After this is settle, it would be informative for everyone here the details of your mods and see what possibly went wrong.

I'm totally agree with that (bowdown)

until now... I never took the time to read that legal mumbo jumbo turbo matty and boostisgood have for their sigs... DAMN!!! that's some funny s***!!!! : ) nice work guys!! acceptance into a peer group!!! LMFAO!!!

well, you can blow a stock engine too you know... sure its a lot less likely to happen than if oyu are running 10psi, but it can and proly will still happen to someone

2.0l FS motor = dont likey high revy
Lat me know if you want some forged goodies for that bad boy on your build up again. Might as well have them put in stronger internals this time around.:p

Let me take this as your friend will more than likely not being buying the MazdaSpeed Protege? Wonder if it was your clutch disk that flew apart causing the engine to rev too quickly? What sounds did it make before detonation?

From what I have seen the T3 would be moving more air at 8PSI than our beloved little peashooter would be at 12 but hey I 'm a tard so go figure.
P.S. I could have possilby been running 12PSI for almost 30k miles now on pump gas with nothing but lovely times but of course I could be on ludes...(stoned)
