I just blew an engine I am not to great at cars so when I towed it in they said they have to call mazda to get approval and they wouldn't do that till monday. They are also saying that this may not be warranted. Does anyone have any advice on how I can go about getting this POS warranted. I will say that this car has had more problems than any other car in the first year including used ones. though all other problems were minor it means no difference. They are also saying that this may not be warranted

Dude, not to get you down on V-day, but don't count on getting this covered. If you have any modifications whatsoever on your car, they will try to say you tampered with the car. They will try to deny your warranty. Mazda is having some warranty problems right now, and they know darn well they are. They had the same problem on the RX-7, which is supposedly why they had to abandon the project once Ford bought the company. I had to go through the BBB, after I had spoken to everyone at Mazda Consumer Asisstance, (up to the Supervisor - Sid). Once I had the BBB case, they upgraded me to Consumer Compliance, or Arbitrations. At that level they were forced to approve an engine, or we were going to court for a buyback situation. You can read the rest of my story many places. My car was stock, performance-wise, and it was only 3 months old, with about 4000 miles on it.
Good luck, keep us updated, we may be able to help. Take it easy...

Looks like I am on blown engine #2 now. Mazda is again trying to deny warranty coverage. I have already retained a Lemon Law Lawyer this time, though. He is the one that wrote the book for California, so I am quite confident I will be getting a new car or all my money back soon. I might get a Mazda 3 or a 6, but I am not sure I trust Mazda's warranty any longer. They don't seem to stand behind their products. I love the cars, but getting a warranty repair from them is like pulling teeth from a Crocodile. My engine has a noise down inside the block, and there is no way I could have caused that problem. My car isn't even modded right now, except for a few cosmetic items. They have no reason to deny coverage!!

**Please let me know who else has had engine problems lately?? I may be able to get you some repair money back if you speak up. Mazda needs to start owning up to their legal obligation to provide warranty coverage.**

nictlg7@yahoo.com - Let me know!!

Thanks very much!!
