Yay! For fast cars...

fixed it.

I'll tell the solicitor that I'm fine with paying the fees, but I don't want the points on my lisence. Hopefully he'll agree to that.

Went to court today. Waited for almost 2 hours, and finally spoke to the solicitor. He didn't seem to be in a very good mood. The first thing he asked me was "How old are you?" Then he looked up at me and says, "Oh, you're old." Asked when my last ticket was (3+ yrs ago), then asked what I'd like to do. I first offered to pay the full fine, but not have any points. He didn't really like that, so I offerred to go to defensive driving class. He agreed to that. So, here's how it'll end up being:
  • dropped to 49 in a 35
  • 0 points
  • $260 fine
  • Defensive driving course
I just have to bring in the money and receipt for the course before my next court date (Feb. 6, 2007).

Man when I got into my accident I walked right into the court and the judge called me up and he asked my name and then read over the ticket and asked me how I wanted to plea and then gave me court costs and $20 fine. I didn't get to negotiate anything....maybe they do things differently in Ohio.

OMG, I got pulled over in Douglasville for going like 18 over..
2,000 dollars later and a sore butt from the anal raping Douglasville gave me I was a free man.
I was beyond ticked off, I almost went to jail because when the Judge told me it was my ...third offense (in like 4 years) and I should have my liscense taken away. I told him that was not an option because I had to work and couldn't fool around with this crap. Toldem I'd pay the standard 300 dollar fine and leavem be. He apparently didn't like my attitude threw a 1,000 dollar fine, defensive driving, probation, and community service. I said a few choice words and got more fines lol , before I landed in jail the Bailiff or whatever drug me out.

Learned a lesson that day, Got a ticket in Marrietta like 2 years later ..145 in a 35...got it dropped to 17 over and no points. Ticket was almost 400 tho I gladly paid it considering I almost went to jail :).

It's amazing what keeping your mouth shut can do for you ;)

This has nothing to do about speeding but it does have to deal with a ticket. Back in my "rice" days my old 90 protege had a mono wiper.(Don't Ask) Anyways i got pulled over for that and got ticketed around 100 dollars. That was like 8 years ago. The other day I met a friend who is a police officer in that township that pulled me over. He told me that part of his training was to look at old traffic citations and mine was one of those examples. To this day that cop uses my ticket as a reference.

A couple years ago I was pulled over in Duluth for my Honda Passport being too low! The officer said that my bumper was supposed to be a certain height off the ground. Sometimes I think that the Duluth police have nothing better to do than pull peeps over for any stupid shiznit they can find!!! (pissed)

GA lift laws...

"[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, adobe-helvetica, Arial Narrow]If you modify the OE bumper more than 2 inches above (or below, for that matter) the manufacturer's spec, don't be surprised if you're cited."

Was the Passport at stock height?

No, I cut the rear springs and cranked down the front torsoin bars! It was so low the first time I took it out that the front portion of the frame would hit the reflectors in the road! (shocked) I had to crank the torsoin bars up a tad to keep that from happening! LOL

I used to love going to QT to get gas in my lowrider passport because the person in the store would always get confused as to what the hell I was driving! "Pump 13 ready to fill in the red ummmm, ummm, WAGON?!?!?" :D
