Hey everyone,
After getting tons of help from this site, I figured it was about time to give some back. I did two things to my car that perhaps aren't really that common, so I took a few photos to help everyone out.
First of all (more common), I installed the mazdaspeed CAI as a short ram instead of the CAI. This is ridiculously simple. Sorry for the dark photos (it was night), but really, it couldn't be easier. You get the nice intake sound, supposedly almost the same hp gains, but a much simpler install, no worry of hydrolock and a more accessible filter.
Secondly, I put yakima landing pads on my car. These mountings screw directly into the threads hidden under the roof rails. This lets you attach a yakima roof rack without having to use hooks under the doors. It is pretty easy, but you do need to remove the roof rails and drill a hole in them to access the mounting points. Once you do this though, you just screw the pads in and you're good to go. Now that I have the pads installed, attaching my rack takes literally 15 seconds (I timed it). No tools just snap them in and go. I would highly recommend this route if you're putting a rack on your car. it's a much more solid attachment point.
