Yakima Landing pads and Mazdaspeed CAI as a short ram

Really that simple??? What's the downside to the SRI? Must be one or everyone would have it.

For starters you lose the CA part of the equation, and there are some who theorize that the longer tube helps to establish a less turbulent airflow through the MAF.

You will no longer have the luxury of wondering whether or not your car will make it through that 3 inches of water so you can get to work </me>.
 
Mazda 3 roof rack query

Anybody know how to replace the part of the roof rail you have to remove to mount a rack on a 2010 M3 hatch? That's in case you take the rack off from time to time.(uhm)

I just drilled holes in mine as I really don't ever take it off. If I need to, I just pull the rack off the landing pads and leave those on the car like in the first picture.

If you get the canadian roof inserts, they have little doors where the landing pads bolt to the roof.

I think the real answer to your question is just to just snap them in place on the clips.
 
does anybody have a pic or what the canadian rails look like? I will likely be removing my rack whenever it's not in use and I'd hate to have to leave either the landing pads there OR leave the stock rail with hole in it.

Also, where can one get the canadian rail?
 
I don't have a pic...But I can tell you there is a little piece of plastic that you slide out of the way...Underneath that little piece of plastic is a mount already pre drilled for roof racks. There are four of them and sometime tomorrow when it's light out, I will get a pic!!!
