Xenon Respect

I have noticed that I get more respect on the road w/ my xenon headlights on during the day time. Meaning, people don't cut me off as much in traffic as w/ my other vehicles. What do you think.

One should always drive with the headlights on. It has proven to be a major safety factor.

Too bad that there isn't an automatic setting every time the car is started to turn the lights on as there are on many other vehicles. Although, I think that the CX-7's in Canada have this feature. Seems silly not to have included this on all CX-7's. Ther is hardly any cost to doing this from a softwear consideration.

I think it has more to do with the fact that people just don't want a set of ridiculously bright xenon bulbs directly behind them and at eye level.

would leaving the xenons on all day n nite kill them much faster?

That's my concern about the fog lights, too. Do you all run the fog lights with your headlights, or just as needed? I like th elook of them on, but don't want to burn them out too fast.

during the winter i usually leave the fogs on, helps with seeing ice and road conditions, during the summer, not so much

i wouldnt leave my xenons on all day tho, they are expensive if you have to replace em

Fogs on always with my headlights. They only cost 25 bucks to replace them with HID imitation bulbs. Oh, I forgot, the ones I bought have a lifetime warranty :p

BTW, some CX-7's in Mexico came without the daytime-on lights, but some did came with that feature.

The thing is that the Xenons aren't the ones lit during the day.
The highbeams have two filaments, one with low wattage for day and the high wattage for high beams.

the CX7 does not allow just turning on the fog lights while the switch is in parklight position, you still have to turn on the Headlights itself.. (flame)

For cars with Xenon are the low beams the only one that show as the bluish white color and the high beams a normal yellow?

That is correct. I am thinking of replacing the high beams and the fog lights to match the HID. I know that the fogs are H11. Can anyone tell me what the high beams are? Thanx

I run my Xenon's full time all the time in my Acura. It's a 2002 and they are still goin' fine.

The bulb for the high beams are 9005, ive been waiting here in the forums if someone has change theirs coz in the manual it says replacements should be 60watts. All i see on auto stores and the internet are 65 watts...
