xenon or halogen - which one do i have?

i bought a used 08 cx9 sport. is there a good way of telling whether or not it has xenons or halogens?

when you turn on your lights, are they instantly on? Or do they warm up with a color flicker?

yellowish color = halogen and nice pure bright white = xenon and I don't think the sport models come with xenon.

Simply saying "If it's not a GT it has halogen" may not be correct. With the cost of HID kits on Ebay, it could be HID

How can you say crappy? ALL aftermarket HID's are the same stuff. And OEM doesn't mean it's any better. If they ARE oem HID's, they've probably got soooo many hours on em a "crappy" HID kit would be an improvement

I believe he's trying to say if its HID's without projectors then they are normally crappy. GT's have HID's with projectors. HID's that are dropped in (halogen) Reflectors are crappy, because they spew the light out all over the place. The projectors concentrate the light, and use shrouds to cut the light off giving the clean lines.
