xDJ DUBx's 94 PZ NA8C

I've been getting that a lot, that both hoods won't work with my car cause they're too agg and they're right, neither will work my car.. as it sits right now. After the trunk and diffuser, its not gonna be so clean anymore, even more so if I ever pull the trigger on flares and maybe a APR wing. lol.

The gv seller is getting kind of shady so I might not get the tails, we'll see.

No idea what diffuser that is, I can't find any info on it.

Dub, what about the hood stand-offs to help with heat extraction? I don't like them much myself, but they could help?

Like hood spacers at the back? I was going to try it and got a thermometer and stuff to experiment, but never got around to it. After googling extensively, a lot of guys on the Honda forums concluded that they actually got worse cooling with the spacers, which goes against common sense. Apparently a lot of design effort goes into things how they come from the factory.

The only data I collected was that with the temp sensor right next to the air intake snorkle, air intake temps were around 104* with normal driving, went up to 120* while sitting at a train crossing, and were 108* on the highway. Under aggressive driving, they ranged from 116-120*, but what effected the temps the most was throttle position and engine load, not rpms. The temp did come down to around 80* cruising back home on the highway, with around 78-80* ambient temperatures. This indicates a good amount of air circulates through the engine bay, despite the very sealed front fascia. I'm betting a turbo would significantly increase under-hood temps, especially after a hard run, and then sitting at a stop light. Perhaps I'll continue my data logging in the spring.

Idk. I don't think either of those hoods look that good. Idk why but if I had to choose id stay stock. The chaser hood is a little better but I agree its a bit aggressive. The 2nd one looks kind of generic/evo wannabe. That's just a first impression.

Looks nothing like any Evo hood I've ever seen...

Turbo installed!

ok not exactly.

lol..

Well after BEGi wrote the wrong house number on the first two boxes, then had a small war with ups then ended up with box being corrected and the other returned back to Texas, I received a very large box today with this.

Guess they wanted to make sure nothing got damaged with loads more space filled with thousands of peanuts aye?

Also a teaser for now

Also got a tracking number today which I presume to be box number 2 that got returned, should get that before week's end.

Nice! You should get the turbo housing PC'd green, since you want a green and black theme. Maybe the intake manifold?

I don't want to overkill it, too much color makes it look rice. The valve cover with purple cam gears should do it just right :)
