xDJ DUBx's 03.5 Pure White LX-T

Even if I knew it was going out, I still run it til it ran no mores. Luckily I have the other motor.

Oh yeah, remember I did a compression test a month or two ago? It showed no signs of anything going bad either.

I think I'm just being paranoid.

fouling plugs weekly, yeah, paranoia... that must be the problem.

LOFL... god I can't wait.

zoom zoom boom here you come!

(I really shouldn't be talking s*** with a bad WGA, should I?!) LOL

I think it's just your MSP ECU that's making you s*** bricks. With it running SUPER rich, yes you will get that black soot. It is most likely fuel sitting on the piston in cylinder 4.

110k

I seem to slowly be losing oil, and this morning when I revved a little, it left a streak of black along the floor, like really thick and while I was changing the plugs, cylinder 4(the one that keeps blowing) had liquid inside, I could see my reflection at the bottom , but last night I blew another plug(cylinder 4) so I'm thinking maybe the extra black smoke and liquid in the cylinder could be from unburn gas since the plug wasn't firing on the way home last night? Oh, and plus the MSP ecu running the car rich would also contribute to the extra black smoke?

I also have a bad habbit of not checking my oil frequently, I've had to put a lot in it twice but these two times were at least a month maybe even two months apart and I'm over due for an oil change(been holding off til turbo install)

Idk if the motor is going out, or if I'm just being paranoid.

it's quite likely the msp ecu is causing your issues.. wrong gas, unburnt gas, reading incorrectly.. get a stock ecu and throw it in. thats dumb

I don't really understand why you put the MSP ECU in already too. Takes only 10 minutes tops to swap the ECU out. Should just to it during the turbo install.

Cause I got $100 for the stock one so I could buy the intake which I thought I was gonna have for install. If I would of known it was gonna take a week and a half, I would of just kept the stock in until after install.

Just took it for a spin, the new coils, wires and plugs made a difference, WOW. Seems really smooth and peepy now.

Peepy?

I didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea. LOL

Yesterday my adapter coupler for the fmic came in :)

I'd be nice if the msp heat shield got here today as well, but if it doesn't, oh well.

Albert is telling me I will need to buy a slim fan for the driver side, is this true?

Its my understanding that a lot of guys who have done the conversion with an FMIC didn't bother... in the MSP its there for the SMIC. Of course moving more air inside the engine compartment can't be a bad thing, 'specially during Socal summers.

whats his reasoning for that? the intercooler kit, or the intake, or what?
your stock fans are sufficient for cooling the engine even with a turbo....so I'm assuming he's talking about a space issue?

Running a stock turbo I can't imagine how that would happen, unless the radiator / fan shroud in your NA sedan is a whole lot deeper than in the MSP... and iirc the turbo inlet sits nearer the passenger side fan, or about where the two fans meet.
