i dnt have a credit card. i do have a a debt card for atm's and gas and s***.... VERY handy. draws right from my checking account. sooooo handy
Yes but education loan requirements have become much more stringent in the last year. I recieved about $4500 less from my school/federal loans this year when compared to last year, and I got declined for two different private education loans I applied to over the summer. My credit score is higher now than it was last year, and last year I easily got approved for an extra loan. So, I may take out another loan and just use a co-signer because I can't get one on my own for some dumb reason. Or About $1k is going onto a credit card instead...
Because education loans have been one of the 1st that people stop paying, banks have stiffeneed up their education loan requirements. ( A. Collections can't take your degree/knowledge away & B. ppl are going to keep their house/car instead of paying back school debt)
Also Obama & congress changed how loans are issued thru schools and it puts more of an emphasis on the parents taking out loans for kids, which sucks if your parents can't afford to do that, even tho the gov't says they can. (like me)
