xDJ DUBx's 03.5 Pure White LX-T

I didn't compress it that much, just to be technical I did but I only compressed it maybe a little less than a quarter of an inch. I didn't notice a difference in ride quality at all but like I said, I didn't do that much anyways. No more rubbing for me but I probably will take one of the perks out. hehe.

Why the eff would you want to run 15 or 20 psi in a racing situation!! Thats insane!! With a large sidewall and seriously underdeflated tires you are talking about some serious loss of responsiveness. Not to mention the lack of pressure to keep the beads seated under hard cournering situations....

drag strip son... think about that.

Cool. Does anyone know how i can go about getting negative camber. My tires are rubbing on the fenders when i hit a bump on the roads. Im thinking maybe a little negative will help this.

^^Pfft. Those stock suspension folks. You make me luagh. Muuhahahaha.
stock or aftermarket, adjusting alighment specs is a pretty half ass way of clearing tires in my book... run correct offsets, roll fenders... but... tipping over the whole wheel to clear tire? sorry, but adding thicker rubber is supposed to help handling, not hurt it by forcing you to screw with your alighment.

Nothing wrong with a little negative camber for auto-x. But for daily driving its pointless. (lol2)

OKAY... I do have rolled fender. The offset i have is 43 so yea the wheels do stick out a bit. And i got stock tires ATM. So yes i would like to adjust my alginment to clear my tires. I guess in ur book im half assing. Thanks. I know Jnato has some negative camber im just wondering how he did it. Because i beleive he has 40 offset 17" wheels.

it depends how much you're putting in... if you're lookin at like 2 degrees, no big deal... but when it starts getting noticable... idk, I just think thats a waste of tire wear, and a poor sacrifice to make.
I believe it is usually done with a "camber bolt"... a smaller bolt used in the strut to spindle mount which lets it be adjusted...

Yea im trying to see if i can change it a tad bit just to clear these tires. I dont want to raise the car. Do i take it to an alignment place and request for some negative camber or this something i can do myself.

bandar youd probly only need a hint of adjustment to stop scrubing depending on how bad

youll loose handling compressing the spring too much,

and i dont think u can safely take out two perches. your not trying to compensate by lowering the front rather than raising the back are you???(squinty)

A couple degrees of negative camber does nothing but increase your tire's grip and shorten your tires' lifespan... It's a tradeoff.

Like everyone else said, more camber = shorter tire life. I'm sorry but unless I'm racing it in autox or something, there is no reason for camber. I'll stick with hom my car is right now.

And dub, I thought your stance was perfect before the BC's. If you could match the look from before with the BC's, you'd have the perfect stance and great handling. When you dump it that much, the wheel arches look completely out of whack and s***. Just my .02

drag strip son... think about that.

Too bad drag racing was not mentioned....and if you drag out cars even a MSP you are pretty much retarded. The drivetrain is no where near strong enough to handle it.

Proteges handle corners better than they will ever run a quarter. So thinking about it still makes no sense for auto-x....just sayin.

he was talking about racing, and not hooking up even through 3rd or 4th gear..

that to me= drag strip. calm down dude, i wasn't attacking you.. and msp and protege's have proved pretty decent at the dragstrip... not everyone autoxs or circuits there car..

There's a LOT of people that would disagree with you here...

Most serious auto-x people run with a slight amount of negative camber. It helps with cornering quite a bit. It's really not even arguable. Pretty much just how it is.

I was arguing against camber segments, it was more about super low tire pressure.

I know negative camber is advantageous during auto-x.

And boosted, sorry if I came on too strong. I was just stating my opinion and sometimes I can get a little forceful. My bad.

some proteges can be pretty decent at the dragstrip. people use to always ask me what the car ran in a quarter mile, so i figured i would try it out and got hooked. auto-x will be next...

k-sports have camber adjustments on the bottom so i just made it all the way negative so the tires would clear the fender.
