xDJ DUBx's 03.5 Pure White LX-T

Like I said, I don't do it that much cause I know that's not what it was made for. I've heard of others who do it all day everyday and haven't had issues, but that's them.

As of today, my tranny has yet to give me any issues *knock on wood*

When it does, then you can finally do your 5 speed swaP! (wiggle)

Lol well just go ahead and do the manual swap and downshift all you want =)

BC's still in transit?

Thats the plan! I need to figure out how to get a car I can drive cause I doubt it'll get done in a day.

Yup, last login says 6/16 jacksonville FL
They'll probably be in la by days end.

I ain't waiting that long!

wow i plan to do the same stuff.
dub, do you know if it would be worth it to wait for an msp to find its way to the graveyard for me to take the tranny outta that?

or if the p5/3g protege's tranny is just as good for moderate boost. (like up to 11 pounds)

because i know i'll eventually want to boost and i dont want to have to rebuy everything.

i saw a lowered camry today that kept bouncing up and down on the highway from bumps,

doesn't that mean the owner got lazy and just cut the springs.
because i dont understand that, its really hard for me to comprehend why they couldn't just save up 200$ and actually do a somewhat nice job.

Ya, cut springs usually just puts a large load on the struts and they blow out soon. Lowering springs put a strain on oem struts too but not quite as bad.

the only difference is a limited slip differential. and the stock diffs in the MSPs are notorious for snapping. (mine did).. pick up either. if its from an MSP, pull the diff out and get it welded, if its not, pick up a welded diff and swap it in.

depends how much it was lowered. stock struts don't respond well to dropping more than about an inch usually, and blow out soon after...

well at me and dub have the same model,
so if 3" drop works for him, hopefully i should be fine.

ill have the stock parts anyways i guess. and for the winter i will need to put them back on.

i have 17" with 205/40R17
i bought them off someone who knew nothing (civic owner)
so the rims from the best i could measure are 45mm.

i don't particularly want to roll the fenders, but i will if i have to.
it looks easy and i think i can rent the tool from napa
