Its a very long story...basically the cliffnotes are that motorex was taking $$ upfront and not giving a solid delivery date for cars, so the buyers threatened to sue. Also, their whole importation scheme was bulls*** and based on a loop-hole in importation regulations which has since been amended so no more loop-hole.
well i believe they did crash tests on the skyline <--correct me if i am wrong or dont remember straight and it CAN be imported but now you have to do it loophole free - correct?
there's still the chance someone who has one here might sell it.....

am i the only one that would drop that much money just to say i own one??
I have also seen a grey one in Austin and Houston area that had Skyline GTS or GTS-T emblem in the back. It was the same Asian person in both cities driving it, right hand side.
It doesn't make much sense to drive a right-hand side car here... I mean, EVERYTHING you access in the States will most likely be on your left side... i.e. toll booth, security access gates, postal drop-off box, Mickey Ds drive-thru, etc, etc. Think about how much a pain-in-the-ass THAT will be on a daily basis? Cool to look at, but it would get annoying after a while. hehehe.

if u live near a military base u see skylines all the time. anyone stationed overseas can have 1 car imported for free. so their are like 6 skylines on the small ass island i live on so seeing them does not suprise me anymore. i might get orders to japan next so i can import a silvia. i still have only seen 1 of those around.
