WTB: Roof rack "CAPS"..(not fillers)

Well, after a firm deal and another offer fell through, I am in search of the great elusive roof rack "caps".
These are the pieces that cover the side rails when you remove the cross bars, NOT the roof fillers used when shaving the whole roof rack....

So, Anyone with firsthand knowledge of such pieces for sale, Please let me know!

How many do you want....................you are talkin about the small plastic parts that you remove to expose the nut inserts in the roof ????? Let me know how many .............see whats in my bag of tricks.............think I might have 8-12 .........Will have to dig around.

I think we're talking of different items. After you remove the cross bars, then you have these large open areas in the side rails. There are plastic covers from the factory that snap in place to cover the whole area that was left exposed where the cross bar mounted to the side rail. I bought my P5 used, and it did not come with the caps (covers, whatever).
Make sense?? (uhm)

OH yeah... Check your bag 'O' tricks for a plasticl bolt cap that goes on the Pass side of wiper cowl to cover the cowl bolt. That has disappeared..(?)

What did you guys do with yours?? I kept mine when they gave them to me at the dealership. Did you throw yours away?

Yeah.. Me too.. A theft report would be filed for sure.
I bought mine used... Who knows what the P.O did with 'em... (shrug)

If you do have such a bag of tricks I need the front passenger side cap. I have the other three but sometime in the first two years of having the car I lost only that one.

they went with the car when I traded it in...I still have my cross bars and hardware though(boom03)

The caps probably aren't NEEDED. Take the bars off and go to the dealers.

How are the caps not needed? If the bars are removed, there are gapping holes left in the side rail, and it looks horrible. Unless I shave the whole rack (NOT my intention), they ARE needed.
I called the dealer and they show no listing for anything involving the roof rack.
Someone have a better suggestion on communicating with the dealer?

i found them in my trunk when i purchased the car and had no idea what they were. i tought they were some kind of sill or something??? i just put them in my basement and figured they had some kind of use i would find out later....

when i removed my rack one summer, i then realized what they were and am very glad i held onto them. took me some time to find them in the b-ment though.....

would have been nice if the dealer told me that when i purchased the car.....

the guy there probably had no idea if I had asked him anyway.....
