Like the title says, I am looking for an MSP or MP3 stock short shifter. I think they are the same? Also may need the shift knob if the stock knob from my '03 ES does not fit. Thanks
the MP3 and MSP shifters are basically the same, with one exception: the knob threads for the MP3 are 8.0mm, and the threads on the MSP are 10.0mm. so, the stock ES knob will fit on the MSP shifter, but not the MP3 shifter.
that being said, the only functional difference between the ES shifter and the MP3/MSP shifter is the knob height. if you want a true performance short shifter, look for an aftermarket one.
he is correct a aftermarket one is the way to go from what i hear the kartboy shifters were the s*** but hard to find, so i just went TWM a buddy had B&M and didnt last him to long so he bought a TWM and has had no problems.
