you dont need to mess with the wireing at all it is a direct replacement plug and play. only thing is you need to strip the trunk to get to the plugs that connect the stock tail lights to power. there are no mods needed just a direct plug n play, you take out the old and out in the new. it takes some time though if you have any questions feel free to ask me since i did it with a friend and it was quite easy under the circumstances of having to take apart the car.
