Glue dots are not a big deal at all! They are not permanent, and they are not going to damage any of the plastic. They just hold the ultra lightweight metal rings in place. I have had them since they came out, and have had zero problems.
Truth is, older Dave B rings used glue too. I have also seen a car in which they have rubbed the clear console cover. Street Rings don't. just my observations, individual results may be different than the rings I saw.
The Street Rings are top quality, you would really like them. Plus, you would pay less for used ones.
