Injector Setup

Please give me your opinion on how good are they for your car.

0. What injectors are you using?
1. How easy is this to setup?
2. What EMS are you running to control them?
3. Are you running extra-injectors or stock replacement?
4. How much boost are you running with these?
5. Any extra comments will be nice.

I have the WRX injectors, replaced all 4 of the stockers with this, they are a direct drop in and super easy to install. I am using them with the emanage and its working perfectly, I am running about 70-75% duty cycle on the stock turbo at 14psi

I have not seen anyone that has had any issues with them on here

Thanks for the info I know a lot of people have them here and they are some threads that mention them but missing the details thanks again.

how do you know the duty cycle? By the ratings of the injector? Do you think I would notice anything on stock fuel system with DSM AFC and these injectors?
Thanks tekkie

I know more people have these come on and share the secret.

P.S. @ 10 psi the MSP injectors hit 100% duty cycle, that's not the entire fuel system just the injectors.

I found my duty cycle, with my AVCR and my emanage both tell me what they are running at :)

nice link quadiv20

I was wondering can the MPI control bigger injectors or only extra injectors?

I am wondering why people with this setup don't post?

because this topic has been beaten into the ground and people don't want to keep typing the same things over and over....

Looking for details on the topic since the other threads are missing good info as far as reviews and different setups.

shot ya an email but thought I would post incase anyone else was curious....440 injectors are actually a very good choice for the MSP assuming your not running a ginormous turbo....There are 2 factors to consider when choosing injectors, well assuming you already know if you need high or low impedance injectors. Factor 1: Maximum amount of fuel you will need...this is determined by the max cfm your turbo will be flowing...generally you want to keep your injector duty cycles around 85-90% at FULL throttle, but no more than that. On a 2.0 engine 440cc injectors will flow enough fuel to support the t25 well beyond its boost efficiency...can't seem to recall the exact cfm but im sure its on this forum somewhere. Factor 2: Minimal fuel needed. This is where most people mess up. See when you're just cruising or idling, your car is using very little fuel, thats fine for stock injectors, but with bigger injectors you run into the problem of having the duty cycle too low...Depending on the style of injector this ranges from between 30-40%. Injectors are designed to function between a certain duty range, anything below this and the spray pattern becomes inefficient leading to idle and off throttle bogging. Even the best ems out there cant help you, b/c no matter how much fuel you cut the spray pattern wont function correctly...Try to think of it as trying to measure out 2mls of water with a garden hose....just doesnt work.

so does anyone know what stock msp injectors max out at? and if this will be a good upgrade for my car?
where is the best place to get these?

i didn't chime in b/c i already talked to you via pm but i guess if anyone else wants to know

0. WRX 440cc
1. Took me 20 minutes to swap them. 4 hours to tune them.
2. Split Second PSC1 AKA DSMConvert Airflow Logisitic Controller
3. Larger Injectors
4. 10psi daily and 14psi spirited driving
5. WRX 440cc are great bargains. Install is a breeze and used ones can be bought for very cheap, got mine for $71 shipped on ebay. Dynotuning them won't be fun, but if you can get your hands on some maps your set.

thanks

hey last time i talked to you, you were working on some maps for the 440cc injectors. don't mean to threadjack, but jus curious on the progress/results.
