So I'm athe point that I'll be adding the WRX injectors. As I've been looking for some cheap ones on the Subi boards. I keep coming across threads that mention "modded" and finally found a how to. It seems there is a screen on the WRX 440's that when removed allows them to flow 750-800cc!! Is this just super over kill to do when I get my injectors. I highly doubt I will outflow the 440's but some added room for error would be nice as well??
Anyone ever heard of this mod?

I think you'll find the Split Second will have trouble handling injectors that large.

440cc or modded to 800cc.

I didn't even think about having to control the injectors at 800cc. I'm very new to the tuning side of things but assumed as long as I wasn't trying to push 800cc through them was only trying to push say 400-440cc through them, But allowing room for error.

you can run the 440s there is a few people on the boards running 550cc on the Split Second.......its the 800cc range that the Split Second has a bit of trouble with........but again if you can tune it right you will be okay, but its a fine line when it comes to the 800cc injectors and the split second playing friendly.

un modded 440's it is. I guess the 440cc injectors can support well over 300 HP. So I should be plenty fine with those.

yeah i heard about this mod too ,but the problem is your injecors are flow rated at 440 after your mod they are not flow rated....they are arround 750-800cc.Like some other guys said it will be more complicated to tune because you don't really know your injector flow. And i don't what you are expecting but there is a lot of people who are running pretty high level of boost on 440's
