ok so i swerved to miss a deer last night and went off the road through a ditch... im not sure if its gonna be totaled or not... lemme know what you guys think... oh and it's leaking anti-freeze and the strut is shot and i could see the sway bar being bent and looks like the links broke...

It doesn't look too bad, I don't think they will total it out. I guess it depends on what they find underneith though.
Ever since I split a deer in half with father-in-law's car, I've been terrified of deer.

if the frame is tweaked (idk how else that wrinkle would show up in the rear) its pretty much fubar, especially if you're talkin mechanical parts on top of the panel damage.

That rear quarter doesn't look like a bent frame kink as much as something soft actually striking it and pushing it in. Did you hit the deer from the side while trying to avoid it. When I hit that deer. The entire front pass corner was ****** but as the lower half of the deer went over the side it's ass struck the door and pushed it in just like that picture

That is definately not a bend from fram tweakage.
Its a dent....from hitting something....Period.

My car was 10x worse than that....took a total repaint when it got stolen....and it wasnt totaled.

That is defiantely not even close to totalled at all.

Sorry bout the wreck...but look forward to about 3-4 weeks of a crappy rental....LOL!

im not sure the ditch was like 3ft deep and i leveled it and u know the driver side front strut broke and the sway bar bent and the control arm is deff bent... and the "frame" is a little tweaked the hood is like on the fender... and my friend works for the body shop it will go to and he rough estimated a full paint job at about 3000-4000 because the whole car will have to be painted according to him

BTW....I had $7800 in damage when it was said and done...and nearly 4 months in the body shop.

haha this is the second deer i hit with my msp lol and if it has $7800 in damages my insurance company will total it because the car is only worth 10,000 and 70% cost of the car or more and they will total it... oh and 4000 is just the paint job lol

did $5000 in damages not totaled but i spent an hour trying to explain to my insurence company that the bumpers are stock because they kept saying they wont cover the body kit lol

yeah, make SURE they get you a lip... seen about 4 of em now that didn't order it, forgot it, or what have you...

glad to hear it'll live on though... least theres something to be happy about.
