No no. You want the bad ones in the back. Front wheels are drive wheels plus that's where most of your breaking comes from. Also, sorry to hear about your ride.
This is debatable. Some experts suggest that the better tires in the rotation go to the back to prevent exactly this - the ass-end coming around (oversteering) in wet conditions (including snow). You can control a front slide if you have time to react but if the ass end gets in front of you, that's it.
