Wowie, wow, wow, Mazda has added $1,000 factory to dealer incentive to MSP + rebates

I bought my MSP on 12/22/03. I got one of the last 4 remaining in Indiana. A local dealer had 3 yellow and 1 silver. I bought the silver one and got a great deal. I paid $16,200, there was still a little money left on the table, but I wasn't going to bicker. There are better cars out there, but for $16,200 it can't be beat with a stick. I read on some other forums that people had the problem with hesitation and got it fixed with a flash done by the dealer. I hate to admit it, but I have no idea what they are talking about. I have the same problem, but I've only got about 500 miles on the car and I'm waiting to hit 1,000 miles before I start to get into what it can do. Can someone tell me what that "flash" is? I'd like to have it done at my dealer.

Search under flash and you'll find a mountain of info.

It may have been done already. My car doesn't have a hesitation problem, but I have no idea if the flash was done or not. They generally apply a sticker under the hood, but not always. They were supposed to have flashed the cars on the lot after it came out, but they didn't always do that either.

If you notice a hesitation problem, its an easy dealer fix. If not, don't worry about it.

damn, i'm gonna try again tomorrow to convince my father to co-sign with me. i think i'm wearing him down :)

Ya they are wheelin and dealin those MSPs now. I really really regret getting my "deal" on the MP5. 14.5 out the door is great, but not when I could have got a MSP three months later for only 1500 more! Ah oh well.

MN MSPs for $16795.

Minnesota dealership (Twin Cities). This is where I bought mine for $17895 in October. Now since going overseas, they have gone down even more, as their ad now says $16795! Nick Hussein is the salesman I dealt with. Thanks and good luck!

I was going to do all my own oil changes and I still will. But when I asked the dealer about using Mobile 1 5W-30 synthetic they advised against it. I didn't think it made any sense, and they couldn't give me a good answer why either. That is the oil I've always used, and I believe it to be one of the best if not even the best out there.

???? Damn and I thought I had trouble staying on topic. (k)

Sorry, I got off topic because someone has posted a reply, and on his post he listed all of the mods he had made. One of those was switching to Mobile 1, and it made me think of that.

Could the original poster or one of the people who know where to find it please link me to this factory to dealer incentive. I just called my Mazda dealer and he says he doesn't know anything about it. I told him I'd give him a call back.

I really need this info asap, so if you have a link to it, just go ahead and post it here! Thanks in advance!!!

Well, the problem is that I bought the car about a week ago. I was really hoping that he would pricematch to the current deals.:(

The original poster said $1000 factory to dealer incentive.... your link shows $1500 incentive..... are you sure you are both talking about the same thing?

have you guys that have bagged the MSp for 16.5K and under recently used the 0% financing or are you getting the these low prices with the cash rebate and not the 0%?

Yes, re-read it carefully. There is a $2,500 manufacturer to customer rebate and on top of that, there is $1,000 marketing support to the dealer.

There is no way a dealer is going to price match any increased rebate (I bought mine a month and a half ago when the rebate was only 2k) and less than no chance of you recovering a factory to dealer incentive. They don't even have to give you that if you were buying new, nor do they have to tell you about it. Its entirely up to them what to do with it- keep it and try to make more dough or use it to cut the price on the car and move more units at their standard profit.

Sorry, dude, you just aren't going to get it.

As for the guy with the question on cheap prices AND discounted financing- review the link. You can get some rebate and, of course, the dealer discount plus cheap financing, but you can't have it all at once.

You can get a pretty good price and cheap financing or a rock bottom price and market financing. You'll have to run the numbers to see whats best for you. Depends on your credit and how long you're thinking about financing.

heh, i know what the link says. i was just wondering if anyone had grabbed one for ~16K with the 0%-60months-6months no payments or if they were only using the other rebates.

I've never felt ripped off before getting a 2.9% intrest rate! 2.9% was the holy grail of intrest rates when I bought my first new car! Now i'm shamed to come home and tell my wife I got 2.9%!

the point is, no matter what rate you get you're going to get a great deal on a great car!

the dealer near me is selling my friends trade in 2003.75 laser blue for like 18.9..won't come down either..so i says..to maybel i says to her..**** that

You should be able to get it. If a dealer won't give it to you, walk and try another. Eventually one will want to move the car badly enough and will give it.
