Wow!

Sorry buddy, you may just be a bad driver. I would dust my buddy with a fmic/intake while my car was still stock.

the problem with street racing.. or drag is i have no pity for the car.. i take cace of it very well and take the time to idle 30 sec before turning it off and check everything in the hood and under atleast once a week.. and i only drive it on weekends.. but when i come up to a car that has potential to be beaten ( more or less), it's where i draw thew line and where the tranny, clucth, turbo and engine are gonna have a hard time.. i launch like a mofo and slam through gears with that tire sqeek sound..

btw, got up to a stock wrx ( 2002) and we both took off with no fireworks, and i was pulling on him "a little"

the guy obviously didn't want to dump the clutch at 6K and launch like a rocket.. i would have been toast :)

but i though it was gonna be faster than this.. is ya dont use the AWD from a start that is..

yeah dude, you must suck really bad at driving your car....i suck too, don't worry, you are not alone!

as for the MSP beating you, he might have a bad wastegate and probably is putitng down more than you. he might be boosting higher wihtout knowing it....you lost...but at least your engine won't blow....

Lol at the bad driving.. Not much driving to do when you put the foot to the floor and it feels like a regular protege..

Been there, done that.. This one shouldnt blow..

AFter having the MSP for this I'd think you can figure out this car is faster
if you learn to feather the gas pedal. Flooring it will just make you use
a s***-ton of gas and go very slow.
Driving the MSP is an art not a skill.

heat soak is my worst enemy for sure...im able to whoop my friend's 07 sti in the 1/4 mile as well as a rolling start race when my car is cooled down a bit...but after a few runs you can really feel the car getting slower and eventually i loose :( ...im thinking of using heat wrap but thats a bit expencive at around $100 a roll and im not sure how much i would need to cover my i/c and intake pipes

edit: also, launching this car usually takes some skill too. if you rev it too high, you will just spin out all trough 1st and if you rev it too low then it will bog for a sec. till it starts boosting

Well I raced the same msp tonight.. I believe the only thing he has done is a carbon fiber hood..

Well needless to say, I won by ~3-4 cars.. He slept on the launch as I wheel-hopped my way to victory.. lol
