I always thought the vic's or any police car for that matter had some mods on it.

My friend was pulled over by a cop on a bike, in Miami they use Harley the big harleys, anyways he started talking to the cop about the bike and etc etc....He says to the cop you really think you are gonna catch a guy on a crotch rocket with that big old bike, he said the cop showed him inside the saddle bags and he had one nos bottle in each. Now I dont know if he is bs'ing but I've seen those bikes take off and that is not a standard harley.....

You really have to be scared of the Police on the 1500cc BMW bikes...

Its funny, here in Charlotte NC, all we have are Crown Vics. The town of Stallings, a little tiny suburb of Charlotte has brand new Mustang GTs patrolling the streets. They look and sound awesome, making me think there are definatly some mods on those cars.

All the cops around here drive crappy maintenanced crown vics and old explorers. The only threats around here are the unmarked Intrepids and Geo Metros they use on Intersate 84...totally not fair.
not true, lol i got pulled over by a freakin blacked out mustang cobra a few years back. on 84

i heard in london or something they have cops in lamborghinis and s***

Haha, definately not true. Very rarely a scandinavian country or two will get a one or a handful of premo cars. But cops drive peugots in london.

it was some european country. they got a lambo gallardo a baby blue/white one i think. looked pretty cool. it was on the news and everything when it debuted. let me see if i can find a pic.

*edit* it was italy and lamborghini donated one of there gallardos to the police

Best I've seen is a Sherrif Twin Turbo Supra. Looked pretty good too. I saw it a few years ago at the Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Airport. That Z and WRX look really nice though!

thats 1 cop i wouldnt race!

a lot of districts turn around and use cars that have been impounded, most of them go to auction to generate money for the district but every now and then they keep one around as a cop car, i've seen some odd ones before as well...

and yes, i would definitly race him :D, looks like it was a cool day...

dont know if anybody said that already (i only read 1st page) but reaction time doesn't count towards your 1/4 (or 1/8) mile time. The timer starts are your wheels trigger the sensors ... unless you guys have some wierd system

I know, I will try to have better take off next time. I could have 9.5 if I did it right. With reaction with of 0.678 I did 9.7, but I did a had a better reaction time of 0.331 that time I did 9.8( tire spin too much). If I could add both together, I could have a chance at 9.4.

The reaction time is the time between the green light and your wheel start moving. So the lower the reaction time will have you better 1/4 or 1/8 mile time.

For example
My first time at the strip R/T:1.289 1/8 time:10.3
Last week at the strip R/T:0.604 1/8 time: 9.71
My best reaction time last week is 0.371, but I missed a gear that run.(dunno)

you guys must have a different system

while practicing with the slicks last year, taking my time to launch at the right rpm, i had an R/T of over 2seconds and it never affected my 1/4 mile time. R/T time really only matters during bracket racing =\

The different un 1/8 time might be because you launched better the 2nd time, or that you're getting used to it ... not because of your R/T

but anyway, like i said, maybe your drag strip includes R/T in your time, our 3 drag strips over here don't
