you might want to invest in some of that very coarse black filter material, just a thin sheet... might help with keeping big water droplets away from the filter, and also rocks and dirt... not really sure where you could find some.. probably the home depot? Or am I just spouting off? Probably wouldn't affect the airflow much either..
