Would this work on the MS3?

I don't know why they wouldn't. Bolt pattern is correct, width is only 1/2 inch wider than stock, and I believe stock offset is 50mm. What do they look like?

Make sure to check the hub bore, you may need hub centric rings.

Could you elaborate? I'm not too knowledged about wheel terms - as you can see :)

I thought the stock wheels are 18 x 7? So that makes this 1" wider...not .5".

Correct 18x8 will be 1 inch wider than the stock wheel. The hub is the center circle in the middle of the rim stock is 67.1mm i believe.

Ahhh gotcha. I'll inquire about that, too. Thanks. Would 235/40/18 tires rub with this setup on stock suspension?

I believe people run 235/40 ok on stock suspension, I'm not totally sure though. Hopefully someone else will chime in that knows a bit more.

Those specs are about as close to stock RX-8 wheels as you can get, and I have no issues. But yes, the only thing left is to check the center bore to see if it's at least bigger than 67.1.

Kain, are you some kind of demi-god? Your knowledge is greater than the time/space continuum of our dimension permits...

I emailed the vendor about the bore. We shall see...

Well, the vendor responded with 73/56. But I found the following on a vendor's site selling the wheels for a Subaru (STI application):

56.1mm Center Bore makes them hubcentric

Would I have to have the wheels bored out to work then?

Yes bored from 56.1mm to 67.1mm which may compromise the wheel integrity. I think wheeldude (sponsor) may do this for some of his Rota wheels.

Edit: the 73/56 indicates to me that the wheel center bore is 73mm adapted to 56mm. So the bore is actually 73mm and you just need a 67.1mm adapter to fit your MS3 instead of a 56mm adapter, so no boring is needed.
