Would regular black Rhino Ramps work?

Had mine up on plain old Rhino Ramps just like that several times. Grant you, I'm at stock ride height, not lowered. But my MINI Cooper S sat lowered and still made it onto the same Rhino Ramps.

If you find your car is to low to get on Rhino Ramps, you can also just place a couple of 2-3 foot 2x6 boards in front of the ramps to give it a little lift first. Just go slowly, especially coming back down.

I have the Grey Rhino ramps from Walmart (I can't think of the rating but I think they are 8000) and I am at stock ride height, and still need the 2x6s to get up them without the bumper touching. Also the 2x6s I have only are about 6" in length, all you need is to raise the tire up before you get on the ramp.

Check out walmart before buying online and having them shipped (unless its free shipping) and just pick up some 2x6s.

i use the same ones. a couple of 2X6s cut off with an angle cut on both ends works ok... i don't recommend these for a lowered car at all...

i'm taking mine out to dad's to 'modify' them a bit, next time i get a chance...

Mine is stock also and I need the 2 x 6's to get onto my Rhino Ramps as well.

I have the black ones and stock ride height wasn't a problem at all. After I tossed on some Eibach Sportlines, which offer a pretty mild drop, I can longer get up the ramps without backing into my garage and placing the ramps right up against the concrete lip leading into the garage and even then it's close. The biggest issue with it seems to be that little black plastic lip under the bumper. If it was easily removable, I don't think I'd have a problem getting up the ramps.

The little black lip is held on with rivets, so its easily removable but not if you are thinking of removing it every time you go up the ramps.

I could not live without that little bumpersaver..

Yeah, I know about the rivets. I checked after the first time I tried to put it up on the ramps after I got the springs installed. I'm not about to remove them, but it had been held on by screws, then I wouldn't have a problem removing it each time as it would only had a few minutes to an oil change.

And I agree about it being a bumper saver, mine is scraped to s***, but I'd much rather have that thing taking the abuse instead of the bottom of my bumper.

Doesn't matter if you get the 8000 or 12000; Rhino Ramps have the same incline angle. You will need to ride up on boards to clear the front lip. The rear has plenty of clearance, however.

Thanks, guys! I wouldn't mind putting some 2X6 in front of the ramps. so I will pick up a pair at autozone today. FYI: autozone is running 20% off till 7/3.

mine gets on them with a slight rub just before the wheels go up, so i don't worry about it too much... but it still gives me a reason to fire up dad's band saw and slice off about a half inch off the bottom!

guys, one thing i would try. when you go up on the ramps, engage the parking brake, just a bit... it really helps stop the car from doing that extra roll bounce thing when you let off right when you get over onto the top of the ramp... and it eases up onto the ramps better in my opinion...

i used to have to go put my old college room-mate's civic up on the ramps for him, he just couldn't do if for some reason...

and yes, that lip really is a nicer reminder than hearing it scraping paint off.... mazda did their homework on that one.
