Would Mazda bring back the rotary engined sports car?

First, great share @N7turbo! I like David's videos, you can tell he's a genuine enthusiast of not only Mazda but engineering as well and he's always very informative...It's clear he knows his stuff!
As for thoughts...My first reaction is...by 2030!?!? Mazda's already been stalling on this for years! You wait long enough and there might not be a market for such a model anymore...
The rotary-powered with electric motor/s does make sense and could provide excellent performance. That said, seems like they're almost afraid to release another production rotary engine due to its love/hate reputation. I think the only thing really holding them back is being to conservative and not being comfortable with taking a chance on this...Hopefully the pressure mounts and they get on it!
On a related note, I also think there still a possibility they partner with Toyota on something sporty beyond the Miata...Could be an RX-7 or an additional performance model (or both)?
Oh and name change to RX-70 possible?

641hp twin turbo V8. That shocked me when I counted the number of coil packs on the engine.
It's not the type of configuration Mazda is known for, so if we see a version of this with an inline 6 or rotary, the Toyota variant will always be seen as superior. I don't think it would play out that way. It would make more sense for them to be equal but different. So I could only see design changes but the same powertrain.
All that to say, I am skeptical there would or should be this many different sports cars from Mazda. They need to focus on only two: an RX type and an MX type.
