And BTW that BS about those being a template for mandrel bent steel pipes is just FUNNY. How many setups have you seen with 90 degree turns? That PVC is USELESS as a template WTF?

have you ever heard of a torch... guess not.

AHH hahaha thats awesome at least he used hot water piping but the glues adn threads were not made for pressured heat they will expland and leaks and start sucking glue in

I am done bickering over what I perceive to be a GHETTO setup. I said early I might be wrong. And in comparision to you and Autobox I know DICK. But I can't, in all the years I have spent oogling cars, say I have seen a FI setup with 100% 90 degree turns and straight piping. It is geometrically a waste of space.

240sx do have alot of room in the engine bay. My friend got his CA18DET in and I swear I could stand in between the radiator and the motor.

I have to admit it is a pretty smooth job riggin up a "home made" turbo kit. I dont see anything happening in the short run (at low boost and temp) but I wouldn't take that chance. He should worry about his health and what about PVC glue...isn't thats stuff highly flamable?

This comment was pretty funny from the dude that was setting up the turbo "again with the PVC, what is such a huge problem with that, other than the fact that you all think its going to kill me."

My favorite part is the intake...look at the bends and how its mounted in front of the radiator! LOL. You guys could have told it to him in a nicer way....the guy needs help not criticism.

That turely is the greatest turbo kit!

spent two years at the neighboring college, University of Pittsburgh. in my opinion CMU was the 2nd best engineering college in the country. my point is, you are an idiot, and are disgracing your college and our hometown.

Are you dead [censored] serious with that [censored]? He's disgracing your hometown? HAHAHAHA. I go to CMU as well. We pay $29k/year in tuition alone, then add in room and board, food, books...$40k/yr. That puts most people in a position with very little money to spend. He managed to boost his car with only $1200, intercooled, and you say he's an idiot? Ok pal...

I'd like to see some stuff you engineered on a ridiculously low budget...I'd say he showed why he's at CMU instead of someplace like...Pitt

hahaha

yea yea i was accepted into CMU but chose pitt because CMU you cant do anything but study and kill yourself. if im not mistaken, at one point CMU had the highest suicide rate out of any college. then again, if i had that turbo setup, i prolly would kill myself too.

chino i never said u dont know dick...just that i have seen pvc used an a sort of template and that u all (in general) need to chill out.....in the end, in my opinion, the setup is cool as s***...yeh its not efficent and wtf is up with the long as intake but s***...i would luv to see it run..and actually make good power......hell if u think about it....our cars (msp) has all plastic piping :) (dont rant about pvc gases and glue, just statin a fact that we got plastic piping also)

I wasn't being sarcastic. In comparision to you and Deckedout, I do know exactly DICK.

Reread my previous post. PVC can withstand pressures of up to 300PSI. Also, threaded PVC is very rarely used....as a matter of fact, it definitely was not used in that guy's turbo setup. The expanding and sucking glue is just plain BS. I'm not praising the setup, but people should get their facts straight. Just because it looks like a crappy setup doesn't actually mean that it isn't going to work.

whichever man didnt read that post im just going on what i know. eithier way i dont think those joints will hold the same

Trolling is not cool. Especially when we come from here to do it, it makes our forum look bad. We hate trolls here, so why do it there? That thread is closed on the other forum, and and since it is, this disscussion is over.
