Won't throttle up!! WTF?? Need some help.

Ok so I get in my '07 Speed3 after not driving it for 3 days. It starts fine and I start backing out of the drive way and the gas pedal starts feeling weird. I put it in 1st to take off, hit the throttle and nothing! It does not rev up. I push a few more panic stricken times and it throttles up intermittently. Sometimes no rev sometimes normal rev. However all of it feels mushy or muddy. Like mushy.


I don't smell anything weird and it ran fine before today. Could it be the throttle positioning sensor??

Please help a brutha out over here! I'm a nervous motherf#$%er since I'm broke and can't afford a huge repair bill!

Well I found this thread and it seems to be the exact same problem.

I have no idea what to expect out of parts and labor if it is in fact the throttle positioning sensor or throttle body. I'll clean the MAF sensor but honestly, how likely is that the problem without any pre indicator? I don't know.

Pulled the CAI apart, cleaned the hell out of the MAF, put the CAI back on nice and tight, reset the ECU.... BAM!!! Problem solved, at least for now.
Hopefully this solves it for good but we'll see. Car runs fine and no CEL anymore.
