With ECU Flash, Rx-8 gets Owned

(i know this may not belong here but just wanted to give my fellow msp owners what difference the flash makes)
yep as the title states, now this is not daily driven i was just called out and said screw it and turned the psi up.
got the flash done, cai and boost at 12.
started from a roll cause we did a run from a stop and wheel spin was stupid so i said lets do from a roll of like 5 or 10mph
lined up got the flag and we were off bumper to bumper 1 and 2nd but third is when i pulled away. THIS IS NO B.S this idiot got owned. this guy was chirping that thing in 3rd but got smoked!!!!

and side note this flash does make an improvement, its awesome.
way faster at 12psi with flash than without it.

How are you running 12psi WITH the flash? Everything I have seen says that 9 or 10 is the max you can run without detonation.

Yeah I'm with him, either you were detonating and didn't here it or something else is afoot here. I'm not calling BS because I never do I think anything is possible. I'm more curious how's your engine and were you detonating?

i understand how you guys feel, but noone really knows what how the engine will hold up, i doubt MazdaSpeed turned up the boost for a while to see how it holds up.
i was runnin 12 pis w/o the flash and members like yash have been runnin it for months when it was stated that anything above 10 would cause problems. most people are so scared to attempt it because of what people say, but noone know unless they actually monitor it to see if it holds up....
but oh let me add...that guy left the scene afterwards..didnt even hang around to say nice race, just beat feeted out of there. haha sucka.

That's sweet!! I personally love it now too after getting the flash. I'm around 9-10 lbs myself, no problems to report at all...

Yes 16000 + miles here at 12 PSI in the Texas heat.
Now at 9-10PSI.

RX 8 is never intended to replace RX7. It's a sports car for people with family (4 doors theme). They don't have to come out with a turbo RX8 cuz they'll have a turbo rotary aka the next gen RX7 (?FE3?) And this car was tuned by factory under mazdaspeed badge. So what's wrong with a Mazdaspeed "economy beating a regular Mazda, it's a Mazdaspeed.

Good race dude, wish I was back in Houston to check you guys out. But go to the drag strip down by I-10 near Baytown. You know that new street racing rule is coming out.

yes, i do agree...heat does make a difference. There's no way I can boost 12 when its less than 80 degrees outside. So considering the Texas climate, 12 is understandable...until the winter time.

no, well my msp has never knocked, but the fuel cut will come on when its cold...especially @ night.

How do you guys know your cars have never knocked/detonated? Do you have knock sensors? I thought detonation can't be heard sometimes...
