Windshield wipers.

Hey guys, so in Montreal (Canada) the snow/ ice is a killer pain in the but. does anybody know what a good type of windshield wiper would be good for me? also what sizes do I need (i never got a car manual with my car so i don't know the size).

and lastly is it hard to instal?

thanks

I'd recommend Bosch Icon wipers. Your local auto parts store will be able to help you out with the right sizes. I paid about $40us for my pair and love them.

A set will be going on the wifey's MVP soon.

+1 on the Icon's, I run them on my cars religiously. I picked up a set BOGO free at Advance Auto, and you'll need a 422A(Driver) and 418A(Pass.) for the set(just referenced them on Bosch's website). They will run close to $40-45 for the set at regular price, but you can find them on sale as well.

+5 lol to the icons , i live in denver and my escalades wipers froze and went and bought a set of icon for the truck and HOLY yeah they are great wipers bought a set for the MS6 today !!!!!

+1 on the Icon's. A friend of mine turned me on to them a while back. I had them on my last car for about a year and a half with seemingly no wear.

Icons are great. I've got Anco Profile blades on right now; got 'em BOGO at Pep Boys last month. They don't lift or streak at 120+ (wink)

A friend of mine is in love with his Valeo Ultimate Wiper Blades (http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/valeo/ultimate.jsp) which as far as I've seen you can only get at tire rack, but have gotten great reviews. He's had a set on hid Celica for about 2 years, and he's a guy who gets really picky about wipers leaving lines and stuff. I'm thinking about ordering some.

In the meantime, I picked up a pair of the cheap generic metal ones for less than $10 at Canadian Tire, which should last me a while, or provide backup to the Valeos if I get them.

I went up a size on the driver's side to the 24" and it seems to work fine, and clean more surface area.

Wow! 2 years is a long time for wiper blades ....
