Winter Tires and TPMS

:
09 CWP MS3
Sorry, maybe a noob question, but no one puts tpms sensors on winter setups right? I'm in serious need of a winter setup after this amazing east coast blizzard last night that led me to slide off the road like 3284 times.

I'm looking on TireRack at MSW Type 14 17x7's with Michelin X-Ice Xi2. TireRack recommends 215/45 but from the forums, it looks like 205/50 may be the way to go?? If anyone has a cheaper but decent looking setup they have for sale, lemme know!!

Thanks

Looking out my window, you better have a plow mounted on the front of that MS3.
I think the Tirerack has some 16" steelies that work with the winters that are reasonable. You should give them a call and see what they recommend.
I use all seasons for the winter and my stock rims (and yes I use TPMS for my set up, but most don't).
I don't take the MS3 out in the snow or slush. I have a 4WD for that.
Happy shoveling.

Thanks guys

@papaspeed: ya i wouldnt take it out in the snow either, but i have one more semester of college and then maybe i can afford 4x4 in the next few years =P

Yeah, I can hardly remember those College days back in the 60's. Thing were tight. I could barely scrape up a buck for 3 gallons of gas for my VW Bug.
Good luck.

think im gonna go with the all-season Goodyear Eagle GT's instead of the winter setup...i know dedicated tires would be better but dunno if itll be worth it in VA
