Winter Tire Question

Hi All,

I need to buy some snow tires - not sure what to get. I traded in a Subaru for the P5 and I miss my AWD! I do lots of driving up to VT in the winter (no real snow yet but I'm sure it's coming soon - hopefully.)

I currently have Kumho's at the stock size.

Should I buy a package and go with 15" rims? Since Tirerack recommends going smaller / narrower for snow tires.

Thank in advance for advice.

I just bought a set of goodyear nordics (only available at canadian tire) and am really happy with them compared to the stock tires in the snow. I got 185/60 R15's in size which is virtually the same as the stock size. Its probably easier to get the set with the wheels and tires, then you can just switch the tires yourself in the spring and fall.

I'm running 15" steelies from Tirerack with the Dunlop Graspic DS-2
It was a great deal. This is their third winter and the tread is holding up really well.
