Winter Tire advice??

So i'm getting some new winter tires, but not sure which ones are the best.

So far i've had a set of Yokohama Ice Guards (which were amazing), and some Hankook Ice Bears (which sucked...got stuck at a ski hill last year). I would get the Yokohama Ice Guards again except i can't find them for a good price.

So what tires have you guys had experiences with?

right now i'm deciding between these but i'm open to suggestions
Michelin X-ice
Bridgstone Blizzak

I have Blizzak LM22's on my MS6 and they are truly awesome. I definitely recommend them, they can get pricey though, but hey if you want the best that comes with a cost. I have heard good things about the X-ice but never tried them myself.

The Ice Bears have excellent ride quality, wear, noise and performance that the other winter tires lack, but that comes at the expense of deep snow/slush traction. I have a set on my P5 and yeah, not the best on those big snow days.

nokian tires at grismers....people think that they are overkill but i would rather have them then to have a wrecked car....^ yet they can be pricey though, i bout another set of rims to put the tires on

I have Toyo, Cant remember what they are called, but the do really well on my P5 in the ice and snow. Now I just gotta get a 4x4 so I dont get high centered.

How about this tell me what size you need ???? I can help you or any of you out ..... I can't get artic claw( OK Tire ) or good year. but all others and any size . if you wait to long you may not get any . Thank the east Canada for the shortage. when it snows there our tire go there and were out of luck. The thing to watch for is treadwear to high # and won't grip and to low # and it will wear of in plus 2 temp. Good starting is about 350 to 400. Its on all side walls....

I need 215-50-17 tires.

In the past i have ordered tires from discounttiredirect.com or Tirerack.com as even with Duties/taxes, its still alot cheaper than buying here

Nokians....never had a set due to price but I've never heard/read one bad review on them.

I run Nokian RSI's, and will never buy anything else. I use 195/55/15.

A friend uses Toyo Garret HT's and says they are good but I wouldn't ever want to be disappointed or stuck in the mountains so I'll stick with my Nokians.

Hey to any and all who have this size, 195-55-16 this is all I have Hankook Ice Bear 115$ plus tax and install( tax is 4$per tire and install balance is 120$ ) NEW ONLY

Hey,

This is what I can get or what I stock, Mich X-ice 219 each plus 4 tire tax. Toyo garret KX winter 260 plus 4 tire tax.

As the days pass the tires go. To set of TOYO left, last year I had ten sets left at this time. And its warm here.........

I ended up getting some Ipikes (read good reviews for deep snow) for $142 per tire.

I do have another question. Would these tires fit on a 17-7.5 rim with a +45 offset and not rub on a mazdaspeed3?

I'm considering trading my current winter set-up for these rims (no extra cost, these ones just look better)
