Winter Cross Country (Chains)

Hi everyone. My wife and I are beginning our cross country journey today in our 91 Miata. We are leaving California and heading to Pennsylvania and are sure to run into some snow. So the NAPA had chains not cables. Does anyone have clearance issues running chains? My tires are 195/60 14.

With stock size tires, you shouldn't have anyissues if you use the cable type.. Chains are to big in a Miada

like these? ahahaha sorry, I had to do it

don't know anything about chains, i live in texas.

BUUUT. good luck on your trip. take many piktours.

We're home. 2900 miles later, the little Miata made it to Pennsylvania. The longer you sit in the car, the bigger it seems. I decided to chain up once (cable type) and one of the straps broke. Before it cleared the wheel it took a few paint chips with it on the drivers side quarter panel, but can easily be repainted. Worst mileage was 28mpg and best was 33.
