No one noticed my post & I took more pictures, so I'm posting a new thread so I can stop TJing Marc's. Here are the 2 I posted right after we took it off...

I used 50lb fishing line & had 2 people helping me with plastic scrapers (didn't want to use Marc's butter knife idea (nervous) ). We got the wing off in about 20 minutes & then I used Goof Off (WAYYYYY better than Goo Gone) & got all of the sticky crap off in about 10 minutes (as compared to the 50 I spent doing my lip & Marc spent on his wing ).

Anyway, the wing now joins my lip in the list of parts I have FS. Here are the rest of the wingless pics (I'll get some from the front tomorrow).

Because I got tired of it after 11 months, I like being different & unique, & I have something else going on (a spoiler, not a wing). (sssh)

Believe me, when I'm done, it will be anything but plain. Due to funding limitations, I can't say when that will be.

I dont know, the rear end sort of looks better with the wing. That's one of the things that make the MSP unique, it's wing. It looks too boring with no wing. Just my .02

Wings are everywhere now...Celica (action package), SRT4, MSP, EVO, STi, ION Redline, RSX (almost all of my friends have the Type R wing). The 03 wing is unique to Mazda, but not to the MSP. The 03.5 looks identical to the Si sedan wing except for the part that folds over on the trunk. I only know of about 5 other MSP owners who are wingless, so keeping it is definitely NOT unique on here either. I still liked it from some angles, but on a short trunk, it just looked silly from the side.

It might look boring for now, but the car looks clean now & everything will flow together much better when I'm done.

Marc, can I get some info on these plugs you speak of? And pics of them in up close? I want to go wingless, and if it looks good it'd be easier than swapping trunks, and I can keep the wing for autox . How many holes does it leave? Thanks.

Black, it looks awesome. Wingless is definitely the way to go on these cars. The wing is way too big, and the car looks much cleaner with it off. I really love the body kit without the wing. What lip did you remove though? Can I get a pic of it? Thanks.
