windsheild mist not working

so i jsut bought my MSP about a month ago and i never used the windshield "mist" setting untill today and found it does not work. there is not even a noise from the motor or anyting. i tracked the wires and tubes and they all lead to the washer fluid tank. is the motor in the tank? also have any of you had this problem and what would i do to solve it?

Is there washer fluid in the tank?
Do the wipers work too?
Did you check the fuse?
Do you own a test light? If so then I can simply help you diagnose this.

Are they clogged?
My car came with those ricer led ones and one just fell off. I'm trying to figure out what to replace them with since I'm not sure how great the Protege ones are.

i dont think it can be a matter of the nossles being clogged becuase the motor doesnt even run to pump the fluid. so it must be a fuse or a connection issure or something electrical

The wipers come on when the washer switch is pressed? If so then I don't think its the fuse since the owners manual says they share the same fuse but check the fuse anyway. Can you get access to the washer pump harness? You might have to partially remove the rf wheel well liner to do so.

Yes if you cannot hear the pump coming on then its an electrical issue, not a clogged hose or nozzle.

ya the wipers work when the washer switch is pressed. i suppose i can try to remove the inner wheel well and see if i can get a look at the harness.

The washer pump harness should have only two wire, power and ground. Disconnect harness and probe harness with test light. Ck one of the wires for power. If there is power then the pump needs to be replaced. Also hook one end of the test light to positive power and probe the ground wire. If test light lights up then ground is good.

ok sweet thanx for the tip ill try that when im putting my winter tires on cuz i have to have the tire off to get to the wheel well anyway.
