2022 CX-5 Infotainment Buttons Not Working Properly

Hello. Just purchased a 2022 CX5 and love it. I do have a problem with the info entertainment center buttons. I believe some liquid has been
spilled and some of the console buttons are sticky. (gps button, save button, home button) Can I remove the console and clean those buttons?
I believe I have to remove the console and unscrew the commander assembly from the console? But I have no idea how to do that??? Thanks for your help!!!

Before removing the console and the buttons, I would first try spraying an electrical contact cleaner. You can find this at most auto stores like Napa or Canadian Tire. You just spray it into the cracks between the buttons and then press the buttons to help the cleaner work. That might be enough to fix the issue.

I'll add that you could pick up some car detailing cotton swabs. They make these to fit into cracks and clean them out. Use them in conjunction with a cleaner.

It's easy to get to the switch units. Just unclip the side/edge panels, then unclip the switch panel and unscrew the switches from underneath. Attached are the 'unclip' instructions:

Great. I will do that today!! Thanks for your help.

it's a Infotainment Ghost issue. Mazda replaced my 2018 AND 2019 Cx5 infotainments. No actual recall but MazdaUSA acknowledged there is an issue and got in touch with my local Mazda Dealer (slimeball) and arranged for the dealer to replace both FREE of charge!! Most importantly, they Acknowledged the Ghost Issue. the dealer still got me for a 50 dollar "deductible" and a 165 dollar CPU software upgrade fee for each car. Nonetheless I am extremely satisfied at how MazdaUSA handled the situation after the dealer had told me it was a coincidence that both CX5's were experiencing Ghost issues and Out of Warranty & No Recall =over 4k for both vehicles. I'm very satisfied.
