Ok, so the summer time months are approaching and i have been thinking of tinting my windows since last summer. I called one place and they quoted my at $250(shocked). I was wondering if anyone knew of any places that would do it for cheaper in the Northern MA Southern NH area. I also had the idea of doing it my self with some tint that you can buy at Autozone or Pep Boys. Is this a bad idea or can it be done with some decent quality?

Thanks

haha ok thanks....where are the place in CT?

youre gonna find that pretty much everywhere does it for around the same price, i got mine done for 250. now i have to find a price for a one window tint since my passenger side window was smashed in order to steal my stereo.

I think I paid about $250. If they do a good job and there are no bubbles...then it is totally worth it.

I have seen a few people get theirs done for like 150 in Manchester, CT i will have to get the exact name of the place and i can get a price for ya

PM Astral.....he knows of this guy not far south of boston who does a great job at a great price......

Yeah, I got quoted that from 2 or 3 places out here on the cape.
ASTRAL and vcinsanity (sorry IDK anybody's real names!),
Could u let me know which places? I have been hunting...TY!!<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_2403734", true); </SCRIPT>

where is there a Mr. tint in MA? how dark is your tint?

I paid 250 for all the windows on mine even though the front is illegal in jersey! the tint is perfect!!and looks factory. ive had it for like 4 years now and no wear at all!! i guess you get what you pay for!!

Just whatever you do, make sure it isn't dyed tint. Make sure they used what my installer called a "metallized" tint. It won't turn purple and gross.

I got mine done at a local-ish car audio shop in CT but the guy who did it doesn't work for them anymore, he works for himself now but I don't remember where.

ive had mine on for jst over 2 yrs and it still looks new as far as where mr tint is located im sure theres a lota places around and the tint is 35% but mazda p5's have a stock tint so its like 29-30 % on the tint scale and 35 is illegal in mass

OK so i think i found the place for my windows to be tinted... Mr. tint in Northhampton, MA(first) ..$175 for a 4 door car...Thank you to everyone for your help...especially wagonwhatmp5....thanks again

I can't believe the price of tint down there...way up here in the great white north (Canada) I got my p5 done for $200/taxes in...canadian dolars! and it's not the cheap purple crap either

not only is it expensive here, but the cops are hardasses about it, especially the state troopers. the cops here are certainly not above having you tear tints off right in the street.

in FL they almost give the tint away, my dad had his huge ass caddy done for 125..lots of competition there...
