Window tint

Sounds like a great place to me. They use good stuff too.

cool - is there any prep i should do? i bought some armor all glass wipes and wanted to clean the windows from the inside...

i'm a bit worried about my resident parking sticker - i guess i'll take it off and put it back on when they're done...

yeah I'd take any stickers off but as for cleaning the windows, I'm pretty sure they take care of that as part of the job.

ok, got mine all done at eastern glass...seemed like they did a good job, it's still drying so i won't know for sure. with the sunroof, it cost $250 (cash, which was a little weird). but they seemed to have a nice clean shop, and two guys were working on my car in tandem.

i'll post pics once i can roll the windows down on friday ;)

cool, they did the sunroof too? i thought that was factory tinted....? if so it must be pretty dark now? do you notice the difference?

Did they give you a receipt/paperwork or whatever to verify that it is legal tint?

I know I just got a receipt for the price I paid, not detailing what was done because it isn't legal tint :P It's 30% film though so no one notices.

0 tint from the factory. yeah it sorta sucked, but with it tinted it's great. That's the only place that my tint isn't perfect though. There's a couple bubbles that never went away. One of these days I'll get it redone.

i got a stamped receipt that i think lumar sends out that "certifies" it as being legal tint. i went MA legal all around. my sunroof didn't have a tint i believe, but i could be wrong. either way, it's not too dark now. i'm really liking the 35% all around though...just enough.

got mine tinted last week... it was a b-day present from the gf. it was 320$ and i got the ceramic tint (pretty much their answer to the non metalized tint) maine legal 50% :bs:... looks good just wish it was darker.

here are the pics from my tint experience at eastern glass in charlestown...

pre-tint, at the shop:

post-install, still can't pull the windows down!

looks good. I think if anything the Protege5 needs it's back window tinted.. it looks kinda weird without any tint. It's like when you see an SUV with no tint, just so strange.
