Hey GXL, your opinion is just that....your opinion and you are entitled to it just like everyone else. I personally like tint...Yes, I said TINT not TINTS I don't really believe there is a plural for tint. I have personally never heard anybody call it window TINTS until I have read what you posted and for some reason, reading it drives me crazy. Not flaming you or anything and maybe I am wrong, but nobody else is calling it TINTS either. Just my .02

look GXL .. lets see you ride .. one thing that is MORE "RICE" as you so well put it .. is all the little Flammers on here that put there picts on here and say look at my P5 when it is 100 ****** stock i see more of that but noooo every one says hey man sweet ride and hey man awesome car . so b4 you knock another mans ride in this forum .. aim it where it belongs or dont say it again got it .. i was talking about the tint .. as a comparison .. so when you want to have a discussion about ONE issue stick to it and dont run your mouth about what you think there is no better way to disrespect a man then to knock his hard work and effort to make his car the way he likes it and sees fit .. not for every one elses liking and as for the lowering ..yes I agree I and I know i need to lower it .. it is in the plans ..but when you are paying for a brand new 4 bedroom house and two brand new cars and an 8 month old child it is dificult to just throw money where ever you want to . my car is my last priority. but ill make sure to update you when it is done ok thanks so much

IMHO Tint always looks better. It was the first thing done to my car, what a world of difference. Only wish I had gone darker on the front windows. Might change it sometime but am happy with it for now. By the way props on your ride MP5Raycer - definitely not rice, love the wheels. Keep workin on it.

I had a feeling this was going to happen when I bought my Japanese car. I don't know what cars you had b4 the P5, but this is my first official Japanese car (first unofficial was a 1984 Mazda 323 4dr Hatchback) and with the exception of a Mustang GT Turbo, all my previous cars have been German. So I tend to like the European look over Japanese.
If you go to European car forums, you probably wont find many cars with their windows tinted. So I'm used to seen that. Even when I was in Europe I didn't see many cars with tints. Most had a nice drop, big wheels, bucket seats, exhaust, intake, and Clear windows.
I understant people who live in hot climate states like Florida, Texas, Arizona, to name a few. But the rest of us don't really need them, it's just for looks. And I respect that, but don't have to agree. I guess is the same reason why some people chose to paint their houses blue or Tic Tac green as suppossed to pastel colors.

) I didn't mean to put down your car; the rims look really good, but I dislike the stickers and the lift kit. I understand about the bills, I too have a wife, 2 children, and house with 2 brand new cars to maintain.
Dynotrick, that is not my wife's MPV, I took the pictures from one the forum members at www.mpvclub.com for ilustration purposses. My wife's MPV is a 2001 EX green with tan leather, bought 6 months ago with 41 miles and without pin stripe.
Anyway, let's all get alone and have fun driving our P5s with and without tints!

Yep...no tints on that R32 because that is a stock photo from VW! i have to disagree when you say the Euro look == no tints. Check out Audi world, dubnation, or vwvortex.com...most folks on those forums love their tints!

Tinting is something I need to look into... The only thing, is that the installation tools used here in Mississippi are Spit and a credit card... Finding a shop would be a pain for me.

well as most states have the legal limit to be 35% i have seen many cars with it and the 35% is light enough and just dark enough .. so i woul dgo with it .. i feel that anything lighter would just seem to put a slight haze on the windows and since tint is nto the cheapes thing to have done on your car i would deffinatly go with the 35% ... but i mean deffinatly got with what you feel is best for your personal preferances .. also thought SOME PEOPLE here seem to think that when we do our cars it is simply for there pleaser not our own ...... hint hint GXL .. also i was seriously thinking of doing my entire car in 20% red tint ..the film on it is just as good as the black and it is a little more expensive the only thing is my buddy whom i get a great hook up from (did my 10 windows(sun roof) in 20% with a life time garruntee for only $150 ) says that i will love the look but hate to drive it ... he said head lights look like tail lights at night and also when people are behind you it looks like when you stare into a bright light and see all those little lines going every where so i decided against it
