For me, cleaning my windows is always the hardest part when it comes to cleaning my car. And this coming from a guy that used to work at a hand car wash and was always doomed to clean customer windows!

Well, last night, I found a new method of cleaning my windows that got them sparkling clean to the point of invisibility! I used Eagle One 20/20 auto glass cleaner and wiped the s*** out of the windows with 100% cotton terry cloths. Went through 4 terry cloths, with lots of rubbing but the windows came out looking awesome.

How does everyone else clean theirs? Share your methods

Stoner's Invisible Glass + crumpled newspaper (or terry clothes)

It makes windows beauuuuutiful!

awodnawodawd i hate cleaning the windows! i just use windex and a towel but strangely it always leaves streaks. ill try your eagle 20/20 glass cleaner and try it out!

Don't use windex on the inside, as it has ammonia and is bad for tinted windows. Get something is ammonia free. It should say on the bottle.

I use plain water and two towels. One gets wet and serves as the wipe down. Use the dry towel to buff to a shine. Waterspots, bugs, etc.....get some #0000 extra-fine steel wool. It will clean without water. For greasy smears, nothing beats Windex.

i have tried all of that and i can't get the freaking waterspots off the windows, i believe the sun had baked then on the glass :(

Solid_Snake - a paint cleaner applied with an orbital polisher will remove the water spots. Most glass cleaners aren't strong enough to remove stubborn water spots, only fresh ones.

I clean my windows (and clients' windows) with a microfiber applicator (from http://www.exceldetail.com, the rectangular blue ones) and plain water. Then I dry the glass with a microfiber towel, also from Excel Detail. If the windows are really dirty, I have a tint-safe glass cleaner that I use with a microfiber applicator. Then after I use the glass cleaner, I go over the glass again with the MF app and water, and dry with another dry MF towel. I really hate streaky windows!

Eagle 20/20 is ammonia free and safe for tinted windows. I'll try it next time with newspapers or a microfiber cloth.

Thanks, now what kind of paint cleaner, a polisher??

thanks again for your input

A paint cleaner is a product, not a machine. I suggested using a paint cleaner, applied with a polisher.

I use either this --> http://www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?ref=exceldetail&ct=40315&pd=97674
Or this --> http://www.autogeek.net/klasseallinone.html

And this is the polisher I would use on the glass to remove water spots --> http://www.autogeek.net/poca746varap.html

And I'd use a polishing/light-cut pad first, and if that didn't work, I'd put a cutting pad on.
