Will this Navigation DVD work with my car?

I have a 2008 CX-9 with the DVD Nav package. I don't remember which version of Navigation disc I have now, but I came across a new disc (it accidentally came from the factory in my brothers 2010 CX-9 that doesn't have NAV). The new disk is disc B only, which covers about 46 or 47 states, it's missing the west coast. It is labeled for 2009 - 2010 model year. Mazda part# TE69 66 DZ0 (K4238). Does anyone know if this will work? I don't want to just stick it in and see if it works, as I don't want to screw anything up with the GPS. Thanks in advance.

Probably not. The 2010 uses a newer DVD NAV system then the earlier models. It uses only 1 map disc also.

A NAVI disc comes with software for interpreting the new data and driving the display. From 2009 on, the display has higher resolution. I bet that the newer disc does not work on older NAVI systems, either.
