i have a set of front brakes from an 07 sti and im wondering if i can use these brakes on my msp can anyone let me know

If you have the money to make custom caliper brackets and room for bigger rotors, then by all means.

i can aslo get an 18in wheell but the bolt pattern and all that should be the same correct? also has anyone else gotten the sti brembos on the msp

Im just gonna say no. Cause you will have to have a machine shop make you a custom bracket and then after you pay them to do that you might have well just bought a "Big brake" kit upgrade that was made for the msp.

well my dad is a fabricator and we got the brakes for free so i mean it shouldnt be to hard.. im just trying to make sure im not wasting time

well ima try it out and take lots of pics soo i will let everyone know if this setup is worth it or not oh and by the way thanks for the opinions

Please don't take any offense to our answers, im sure alot of people on here have tried things to their cars and ended up wasting money, im sure I have, I hope it works though, it would be good to see a protege with some authentic Brembos. Good luck.

Big 4 piston calipers on an 11-ish inch diameter rotor? That's what I mean.

That and the brake bias would be a little off don't you think?

with how high the offset is that we run, I'm concerned you're going to need a wheel that is going to stick out past the fenders to clear the caliper...

i have a buddy that bought a wrx when he was in the market for and sti but the salesman talked him out of it because of the cost incurred to replace the rotars and pads. assuming he was quoted stearlership pricing it was 3500 for a brake job. all that custom work you are doing, is the next guy going to be able to put it back to stock? just a thought as i know i would be pissed if i bought this car and in a year or so it needs brakes and the repair costs more then the car.

i would assume they would be and of course minus the labor too. i do think i remember seeing a kit (front only) for about 1000 on ebay before. anyhow i would love to see it but think its way more involved then just the brakes and some fabbed up parts. i think you would prob need bigger then 17" wheels with an aggressive offset.

well i know i will need bigger wheels becouse the sti rims are a close fit with the calipers and maybe im going to try and see how the 07 sti rims look in powdercoded black (i got them in my possesion)
